Broadview Psychiatry specializes in the treatment and management of psychiatric disorders for children, adolescents, and adults under 55 years old.
A psychiatrist is a physician or medical doctor who can access a child, adolescent or adult and develop a comprehensive treatment plan, including prescribed medications for mental health conditions, when indicated. Medical training for a psychiatrist includes 4 years of medical school, 3 to 4 years of residency in adult psychiatry and an optional 2 years of fellowship specializing in children.
Our child, adolescent and adult psychiatrists have extensive experience and training in acute crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatry, partial and intensive outpatient programs, consult-liaison psychiatry, community mental health, behavioral parent training, parent-child interaction therapy, parent management training, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapy, family therapy, college mental health, pediatric and adult substance use disorder programs (detoxification and rehab), and justice system mental health.
A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation includes a discussion and many questions for an individual, parents, or family to develop an understanding of one’s specific problems taking into account all the biological, psychological, and social factors involved.
Broadview Psychiatry is out of network and we do not accept insurance. Superbills can be provided.
